Overview
Experience
Experience can be defined as "the state of having gained knowledge through direct observation or participation."

Dickinson Hussman Architect's experience in educational architecture mirrors this definition.
Years of specialized training brings substantial knowledge to their projects. DHA's planners and designers have been trained to develop solutions based solely on the end user, and they understand the basic concept of providing architecture that supplements the learning and growing process.

Collectively, members of the firm have over 150 years of experience in the architectural profession, with the founding principals each having over 30 years of experience in the field of educational architecture.

Dwight Dickinson and Donald Hussman contribute heavily to the development of educational planning. Both men are involved in national committee work and belong to the American Institute of Architects/Committee on Architecture for Education. In addition to this national committee for the development of educational facilities, they are active members of the Council of Educational Facility Planners International (CEFPI), and associate members of Missouri Association of School Business Officials (MOASBO) and the Missouri School Board Association (MSBA).

Donald Hussman, the firm's key educational planner, recently participated in Educational Experiments in Community, a conference in Los Angeles, California, sponsored by the Committee on Architecture for Education. He is also a certificate holder in Public School Planning and Design from Harvard University, Graduate School of Design.
