In 2003, the Bayless School District commissioned Dickinson Hussman Architects to provide a building assessment study for their elementary, intermediate, middle, and high school buildings. The intent of the study was to carefully review and document the physical conditions of the District's four buildings. In addition to the building assessment study, the District requested that DHA assist them with pre-election campaign assistance.
After careful study of enrollment trends, curricular needs, and instructional changes, general design solutions were identified for each of the buildings. Preliminary cost estimates were established based on those solutions and the final product was presented to the community in a series of open public forums.
